Sheperd’s Warning is a book written by Cailyn Lloyd. The story takes place in a small town in Wisconsin where her family inherits a centuries year old house that’s been handed down throughout the family’s history. Little dose Laura know (our leading lady) the house has several surprises for her and the family. As the family goes about remodeling and restoring the house to its former glory, they notice odd things happening and even odder behavior out of Laura. As much as I would love to ruin the book for you….I won’t but trust me, you want to read this!

The book is very well written, and the story really captivates you once the book finally explains who everyone is in the family. Which is one of the only downsides to the book. It truly drags out the build up of the characters and the back story of each. But once the back stories are setup the book really gets going.

The descriptions of the town and the house are so well done that it feels like you’re there in person. The attention to detail is amazing and the name drops of major products in the book are a nice touch. In the end I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good read and likes to have chills sent up their spine.
