Everything Coming to Shudder in October!

HAPPY OCTOBER EVE EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow is officially October 1st and our favorite month begins. Horror Bound will be doing #HBH31, tones of content all month long, and a massive giveaway! Shudder will be streaming a tone of incredible flicks and will fill your month with spooky goodness.

OCTOBER 1ST

Body Bags (John Carpenter, Tobe Hooper, Larry Sulkis) (also available in Canada)

OCTOBER 3RD

The Furies premiers as a Shudder exclusive! Directed by Tony D’Aquino, the story follows Kayla and her best friend Maddie who find themselves abducted by a sinister presence. It stars Airlie Dodds, Linda Ngo and Taylor Ferguson.

OCTOBER 7TH

Ever After (Carolina Hellsgård)

OCTOBER 10TH

Channel Zero returns with The Dream Door based on the creepypasta short story Hidden Door written by Charlotte Bywater. Newlyweds Jillian (Maria Sten) and Tom (Brandon Scott) have brought a lot of secrets into their marriage and when they discover a strange door in their basement, their secrets start to reveal themselves. You can watch the first three seasons on Shudder now!

OCTOBER 17TH

Gwen premiers, directed by William McGregor. Gwen is a young girl struggling with her Mother’s illness. They live in a suspicious local community and Gwen must find the strength to guide her family through this messy environment. It stars Maxine Peake, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, and Richard Harrington.

OCTOBER 24TH

From producer Eli Roth and Directors Scott Beck and Bryan Woods comes a new extreme haunt flick. Haunt follows a group of friends who encounter an extreme haunt that feeds on their darkest fears. When they realize the nightmares are real, shit turns deadly. It stars Katie Stevens, Will Brittain, and Lauryn Alisa McClain.

OCTOBER 29TH

Nightmare Cinema premiers! A new twisted horror anthology from masters Alejandro Brugués (Juan of the Dead), Joe Dante (​Gremlins), Mick Garris (The Stand​ miniseries), Ryûhei Kitamura (The Midnight Meat Train) and David Slade (B​lack Mirror: Bandersnatch). Five strangers arrive at an abandoned theater and are forced to watch their deepest fears play out.

Every Thursday throughout October, Creepshow will continue! Greg Nicotero runs the new Shudder original anthology horror series based on the 1982 film. The first episode went down really well with everyone so get ready for the next 5!

The Ghoul Log will also be returning! As well as “Son of Ghoul Log” so you can stream a 24/7 Jack-o’-Latern to keep you company on those long October nights. Complete with spooky noises!

And on Friday October 25th will be a Special TBD project. “Shudder is whipping up a very special Halloween treat that will keep you up into the wee hours. Details coming soon.” We all know it will involve Joe Bob, so get fucking ready ya’ll!
